Yes, the truth does hurt
Ok first of all if you don't know who Stelek is, you can find him and his wonderful work here.
And no I don't follow his site much, and yes this comic is purely based on hearsay and rumours I have heard about the guy. Love him or loathe him though he knows how to make an army list, but from the brief read of his site I have had, I can imagine he probably doesn't hold very well to the mantra of 'lets just roll a dice for it' when things aren't too clear in the rule book.
However, for the record Mr.Stelek, I have no idea if you're a poor opponent, or the details between you and other sites who seemingly seem to dislike you. I Just needed to find someone to be the butt of a joke, I hope you can find it in your hear to forgive me.
And if you can't, then ah well. I don't think that many people read this comic anyway!
It does bring up an excellent issue though.
Most of the games of 40k I play are usually against my brother, and despite the fact that he isn't an idiot, he really doesn't collect the army he does (orks) for the sake of winning at all costs. I tink if Stelek and like minded individuals got hold of his (and mine for that matter) army list they would probably die of laughter.
But each game we have is brilliant fun. Nail biting fights that are probably made all the better because we don't try and decimate each others force by turn two, and that we don't try and have a "win at all costs, even if the game is crap" mentality.
Of course for some people, that is fun. Blowing your enemies army apart before they even realise its their second and last turn of the game.
Maybe i should explore that more. Is that the "dark side" of gaming?
