Been working away on my next possessed!

Just have one more of these to go then I need to purchase another box to finish the squad off or convert some!

Okay, that’s the fourth possessed marine finished!

I now only have two more left to do, and then I need to either buy some more, or convert them to make them a full squad!

Not sure how I feel about the green goo. I tried to put it on the model sparingly so it suggests he is all plagued up, but not too much so that it makes him look more like a plague marine than a possessed Word Bearer.

Still, the goo itself is ace, will probably revisit some nurgle miniatures with it at some point in the future!

Nearly finished this guy. Need to do his back pack and touch up a few things like the bone spikes etc. Also need to add “special effects”. Something I’ve never done before but have decided to give it a go on this guy.

Working away in the evening on another possessed marine. This one has entered a dark pact with a nurgle daemon!

Well, this guy is pretty much finished. I need to fix the bone spine on the backpack, it’s too yellow for my liking. Also need to add some blood to the joints of the armour, to show how his body is struggling against the mutations he is suffering!

Nearly finished this guy! Just hi backpack and a few things here and there to do.

It’s been quite a while since I have painted anything, and I’m feeling a little out of practice. Dissertation has come and gone, and I have found an hour or so at the end of every day of exam revision to get a bit of painting in to wind down and let all the information sink in.

Out of all the possessed models I have, this was my “worst” model, I just don’t like the legs, they make no sense, even for a daemon infused monster!

Obviously not finished yet, but wanted to share my work in progress!

First real possessed miniature done!

I think eventually I will paint another squad of these up but put a lot more time into each mini. To me, the possessed models epitomise what Chaos Space Marines are all about. The only part of the models I don’t like is that the odd pair of legs is a bit off or in the case of the one that is running just seem a little silly. But that’s the beauty of possessed, you can convert them loads!

The only thing finished here is the purple claws, everything else needs touching up, especially the metal areas and such. And the skin will be a little paler.

The concept I am trying to achieve is that these are still Chaos Marines. They share their bodies with daemons but they are still in control. So the purple is the Daemon coming through, and the skin has hints of purple in their, but essentially this is still a marine. He is still in charge (or so he thinks)!
