I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of the new Emperor’s Children minis, and after looking at them all, and building a few, I decided I had to paint one! Everything is slightly bigger and more accessible on these compared to Thousand Sons, or Chaos Space marines. It makes painting the trim and the backpacks much less of a chore!

Fulgrim – Primarch of the Emperor’s Children
After finishing Horus, I promised myself I wouldn’t get any more resin Primarch models. The sculpts are fantastic, but the detail is lost, or slightly off in so many places, due to the moulding process, it makes painting them a pain.
But, I couldn’t resist with Fulgrim, the new 40K Emperors Children models inspired me to get him painted up!
Thousand Sons Sorcerer Lord
I decided to paint up the Heresy Librarian as a Sorcerer Lord for my Thousand Sons. I think I may end up using him as a second Infernal Master (may ven sculpt some lil daemons for his base at some point!), but I did originally intend for him to be a Sorcerer Lord.
Cracking model. Fun to do little kit bash on him.
Lelith Hesperax
Another special character for my Dark Eldar army! Lelith Hesperax
Kharadron Overlords Admiral
First painted mini of the month is this Kharadron Overlords Admiral. I wanted to try and quickly mock up my own colour scheme, based on how I painted my Warhammer Fantasy army back in the day!
Soulblight Gravelord – Vargheists
Grotmas Gitz!
Just managed to get last year’s Grotmas Gitz model completed before Grotmas day! Looks like this year’s model will have to wait till next year!
Da Red Gobbo’s Surprise
This is last year’s Red Gobbo model. I pre ordered him, but he only showed up in the middle of January, and it felt a bit weird painting and xmas model so early in the new year. So I saved him for this year!
Soulblight Gravelord – Blood Knights
Classic Ork Warboss
I have had this miniature since it first came out. A regular opponent of mine had an Ork army, and as soon as I saw his charging across the table top, I knew I wanted to paint it.
So I bought one.
Sadly, like so many projects, he was built, undercoated, and then forgotten about. I actually thought I had lost him. Just the other day, I was tidying up my Games Room, and I stumbled across him once again. He has taken a little damage here and there (he was stashed away in a bag with a bunch of other classic metal minis), and he needed some other bits of cleaning up around the edges. But I finally decided to paint him. Just 20 years or so after he came out.
