I seem to be lagging behind when it comes to painting the seasonal miniatures, one year behind to be precise. And I nearly didn’t get chance to paint him at all, so pretty pleased with how he turned out.

Happy Xmas all!

Happy Xmas all!
This is my GW mini of the year. I think there have been loads of great minis, but this is the one that stood out to me. I decided to paint him up as the Chapter Master of my own chapter, the Sons of the Raven, so I went with a different colour scheme.

Really great mini!
Two new units added to my Thousand Sons army. The two different variants of Sekhetar Robots.
Against my better judgement, I actually built these before painting them, as opposed to sub assemblies. I regretted it straight away, as there’s loads of little details, and they weren’t as open as I thought they would be.

I have recently painted up a Crusade Ancient for my Son’s Black Templar force. I wouldn’t normally paint one in this way, the grey highlights, as opposed to the colder edge highlights they are traditionally painted with. But my lad decided this is what he wants for his army!
Turned out okay though!

Another model for my Emperor’s Children force. The Lord Kakophonist. I imagine I will be painting at least another of these guys, so decided to mix his war gear up, so it is at least slightly different to paint!

The World Eaters are my least favourite legion, and I can’t say I like Angron much either. However, in my quest to have all the traitor Primarchs painted, it was his turn on the painting table.

Fulgrim has been sat on my desk, at various stages of completion since he came out. He is a big complicated model, so there has been loads of interruptions (mostly the heat if I am honest!), but he is finally complete!
I try not to commit too much time into minis these days, they are gaming pieces, and there’s a fine balance to be had between quality and speed. But I am pretty happy with how he has turned out!
My latest painting project is Lucius the Eternal! Tricky model to paint this, as the different parts make it difficult to put together.
Great mini though!

I have been playing about with 3D printing recently, and I thought I would start with making my own armour kit for a Rhino tank. I’d do a lot different with the next project, but for a first go I am pretty happy with the result!

Quickly painted up Lieutenant Titus from the Space Marine games!
