Accursed Cultist/Gellerpox Infected

May 15, 2024 Dan Jackson

I love the  Gellerpox Infected models, but didn’t see anywhere I could put  them in my Word Bearers force. That is, until the  Accursed Cultists became a thing. I used three of the big fellas, and converted two extra models to make up a full squad. This way I don’t have to have duplicate models in my army, and I get to have some amazing minis to boot!

Skaven Grey Seer

April 14, 2024 Dan Jackson

Another graduate from the pile of shame, a Skaven Grey Seer conversion from the Screaming Bell set.  I love the energy on this model, I originally planned to paint him on the bell as a little diorama but sadly it never came to pass. But I am glad I got round to finishing him up.

And here is a host of Nurgling butts for your delight.

Space Marine Captain – Master of the Arsenal

March 24, 2024 Dan Jackson

Yet another blast from the past, this time and old metal space marine captain. This chap has been waiting for a paint job since they were first released, but here we are. If memory serves this chap is the captain of the 3rd company, which is the Master of the Arsenal. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Classic (ish) Harlequin Troupe

March 17, 2024 Dan Jackson

I continue to work through my Pile of Glory (Shame…). These metal Harlequins have been on the pile for err.. well… so long I am pretty sure their weapon load outs aren’t actually legal anymore. Anyway, cool models, and the inspiration for the current Harlequin plastics.

Typhus – Herald of the Plague God

March 9, 2024 Dan Jackson

When Mortarion and the Death Guard were first released, I pretty much bought every model. And they stayed on the pile of shame for the most part. I plan on painting Daemon Primarch Morty soon, so wanted to test out a scheme on his wayward son Typhus. Lovely model, not sure about the Cloud of flies, very nearly didn’t include them.

Dark Elf Cold One Knights

February 26, 2024 Dan Jackson

First unit of actual troops added to my Old World Dark Elf Army. Some Cold One Knights. I did want to do some Black Guard, but they never seem to be in stock.

Vashtorr the Arkifane

February 17, 2024 Dan Jackson

Another big  mini done, on a roll! This time Vashtorr the Arkifane. Yet another model that had been on the pile of shame that I am finally getting round to painting.

  1. I made a new painting video. Still learning the ropes really, but thought I would start at how I paint my Word Bearers!

  3. I recently did a guide on painting bone. There’s a number of ways to paint bone, based on how old or how dirty you want the bone to be, but this is the scheme I went with when painting my legion of the damned models.

This isn’t a very difficult technique, and you could definitely go further with it.
