Apologies again for the poor picture, the light is pretty bad in the north of England again!
Still, pretty happy with him. Just three more to do of these chaps and then I can either finished the remaining possessed marines I have, or the Forge World Plague marines!

Apologies for the low quality picture but the light here at the moment is not great at all.
I used some more of the nurgle rot special effects paint on this guy to get a feel for how I want to do them in future. I also don’t like the green gloves so future minis will have black ones or red. Little too much green on the mini and sadly the rot effect doesn’t show up very well due to the quality of the picture.

It’s been a while since I put brush to model due to focusing on gaming. I hadn’t played a great deal during sixth edition, and have found myself a great new club (Wardens of the North for those interested!) to really get into seventh.
Something that became glaringly obvious in my last three games was that the Chaos Codex is shit, and my army was composed largely of the shittest things in it. So in order to give myself a new edge in games I have decided to paint up some stuff that will make me slightly more competitive.
Behold, Word Bearer Plague Marines – The Infected!
Just started the squad. These guys are some classic Plague Marines from way back in second edition (and older). I have some Forge World Plague Marines on the way too!
I wonder if I’m the first person to paint Plague Marines red?!
Next five Possessed Marines ready to be painted!

Quick update, this guy is nearly finished. Need to glaze the hands a little more to get a darker flesh tone, and obviously need to touch things up here and there. Other than that I need to do the base then build four more and then squad complete!
Over the weekend I have been working away at a number of things.
Firstly the sixth possessed marine is coming along nicely. I try to put a decent amount of time into these sorts of minis because it’s pretty satisfying to see the end result, especially when they are all in a finished squad.
However I also try to keep in mind they are just table top minis, they aren’t showcase (by any stretch of the imagination). However these models really do deserve some more attention at some point in the future, and I may spend a week or so at some point just working on one model.
Additionally this weekend i cracked open the green stuff and got back into sculpting. It’s been an age since I did any sculpting and I want to get a bit more experience at it before attempting my landraider. First up was a converted banner arm for my possessed.
And secondly some rider legs for my biker champion (for when I eventually get round to doing some bikers).
Neither of these are finished, they need tidying up and more details added, but all in all it was a productive weekend!
Fifth possessed marine finished, really happy with how he turned out. This is a Tzeentch influenced marine, so I have one of all four gods, just have to work on an undivided guy now!
Slowly working away on this guy. Nearly done, hopefully have him finished by tonight!
